What factors need to be considered when buying a trigger sprayer

Trigger sprayers generally are made from polypropylene (PP) plastic and is used both for general usage (fishing, cleaning fluids) and specific applications (fire). A trigger sprayer is essentially a nozzle that dispenses a continuous stream of water at very high pressure, making it very effective for many cleaning applications. They are widely used in many industries, as they do not produce any waste, and have a long service life. Trigger sprayers also come in various colors, which is used to clearly identify various products inside the bottles. They can usually withstand pressures of up to 1000 pounds per square inch, depending on the strength of the nozzle.

Trigger sprayer systems generally consist of a power source, such as an electrical motor or gasoline engine, a piston and a dip tube. The piston moves up and down a set distance, creating suction which draws a stream of water through the valve, and the valve directs this stream into the nozzle. One drawback of the trigger mechanism is that if there is a loss of pressure in the system, it results in a backfire, or backflowing of the sprayer. This is why it is important to ensure that there is a sufficient level of pressure in the system, so as to prevent the backfire.

Trigger sprayers can also be fitted with air pumps, in case the piston fails to function properly. In some situations though, it is preferable to have the piston and air pump separate, for reasons of space and operation. Trigger sprayers can come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, suitable for both commercial and domestic applications. It is very common to see these types of dispensers in supermarkets and other food service providers.

In addition to the above, there are other factors to consider when purchasing a trigger sprayer. Firstly, consider the flow rate, which is essentially the force of water per cycle, expressed as a maximum pressure. In general, the smaller the piston, the lower the maximum flow rate, while the bigger the piston the higher the maximum flow rate. Next, consider the spray diameter, which refers to the distance between the opening of the nozzle and the outer edge of the dip tube.

There are many different types of trigger sprayer available, based on the principle of self-cleaning. The most popular one is the drywall and plaster dust cleaners, as they can perform their task very easily without having to run for a water supply. Similarly, there are also wet mix cleaners and the wet foam cleaners, designed to clean wet and damp areas, including sinks, shower curtains, tiles, mop heads and so on. Another type of dispenser is the mist trigger sprayer, which uses compressed air to expel a fine mist into the air, cleaning the areas you want to clean. Lastly, there are spray foam cleaners that use an aerosol to spread a fine mist around the areas to be cleaned, including bathrooms, showers, faucets, toilets and so on.

Trigger sprays are quite popular due to their ease of use, comfort design and non-flammability. However, trigger sprays can only reach very narrow areas at a time, such as a sink or a shower tray. As such, it can't do the job effectively in removing dirt and debris, unless it's used in conjunction with a vacuum cleaner. For this reason, it's best to hire professional carpet cleaners for proper product application and care.
